Questions about me

is this your full-time job?

Yes, it is! I consider myself incredibly lucky to be able to call this my full-time profession.

how long have you been capturing weddings for?

I've been capturing photos and video professionally since I was 18 (some 11 years ago), but I took the plunge in to shooting weddings full-time just over 10 years ago and I haven't looked back since.

I've emailed you. how long should I need to wait for a reply?

I always try respond to emails with 48 hours of receiving them, so if you haven't heard from me within this time then please check your email 'spam' and 'junk' folders, as sometimes my replies can get caught up in there. If you still haven't heard anything, please try emailing again or give me a text/call on my mobile (07908 765789). Though, please bare in mind that during peak wedding season I am usually busy shooting weddings and may not always be able to answer right away, so feel free to leave a voicemail.

I NEVER outright ignore inquiries, so chances are your message has simply not arrived.

Can you cover both photography and videography on the same day?

We sure can! How this would work is I would cover the photography side of things, whilst one of my devilishly handsome assistant photographer/videographers, Paul or George, would cover the video operation. We make a great team. Better than Starsky and Hutch. Fact.

Questions about travel

Where are you based?

I'm currently based in a small town called Market Deeping just outside of Peterborough, which is located on the county boarder between Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire. However, I'm happy to travel just about anywhere in the UK and abroad.

How far are you willing to travel?

I'm happy to travel just about anywhere within the UK and also abroad - no distance is too far for me!

Most of my photo and video packages include travel within England (unless otherwise stated), but if your wedding is located further afield then a reasonable fee will be added.

Do you shoot DESTINATION weddings?

Absolutely! I love to travel and visiting different countries, so combining both of my passions is somewhat of a dream for me. Click here for more information.

Will you need to visit the venue before the wedding?

It's incredibly rare that I'll ever visit a venue before the big day. Most venues have detailed websites, so scoping out the location before hand can be easily done online and doesn't require me to travel to the location ahead of time. Not to mention that a large part of my shooting style is about capturing things as they happen - too much pre-planning can seriously interrupt my work and tends to have a negative effect on the storytelling.

If you're adamant that you would like me to see the venue then there's always the option to arrange a pre-wedding shoot at your venue and kill two birds with one stone.

Questions about booking

Can you pencil us in/hold my date?

Sadly not. No date can be reserved until a booking form has been submitted and a £500 deposit has been paid. All dates are handled on a first-come, first-served basis. An inquiry does not automatically entitle you to your wedding date.

Can we arrange a meeting with you before we book?

Absolutely! In fact, I always strongly recommend that we do this as it gives us an opportunity break the ice and get to know each other a bit better. If you're fairly local to Peterborough then I'm happy to meet at a location somewhere between us both. Or, if a meeting in person isn't possible then we can always chat via Skype or over the phone.

How can I reserve my wedding date?

In order to reserve myself for your wedding date I will firstly require you to fill in and submit my online booking form - a link to this form will be provided once we have confirmed my availability and we have had a consultation meeting/chat over the phone. Once the form has been submitted, a £500 non-refundable booking fee is required to complete the booking, which can be paid via bank transfer.

When is the final balance due?

The final total must be paid up at least 4 calendar weeks before the date of the wedding. This can either be paid in one lump sum, or in multiple payments. However, you must let me know once you have made a payment so that I can confirm its receipt.

What happens if I need to cancel/change my wedding date?

If you need to reschedule the date of the wedding, a rescheduling fee of £250 will need to be paid in order to secure another date (subject to availability). If the new date is unavailable and/or the wedding is cancelled entirely, the £500 booking fee is non-refundable. Furthermore, if the wedding is cancelled within 3 months of the wedding date, payment in full is required to absolve loss of earnings as a result of your cancellation.

What happens if you fall ill or can't make it to our wedding?

In the unlikely event that I'm unable to make it to your wedding due to illness or injury, I have a network of other professional photographers and videographers that I trust that are able to take my place in my absence. They will replace myself on the wedding day and will shoot in a similar manor as myself. I will then work alongside my stand-in to sort through the photos and/or videos that they have captured and edit them to the same style and standard that you see on my website.

Can I upgrade/change my wedding package once I've booked?

Absolutely. Once you've paid a booking fee and secured your wedding date, you are able to upgrade, downgrade or adjust your booking at any point so long as you give me plenty of advance notice (subject to availability).

My wedding doesn't follow the normal format - are you able to create a custom package to suit my needs?

I completely understand that weddings are never exactly the same. The packages listed on my website are designed to suit the 'traditional' running order of a wedding day. If you're planning on doing something a bit different and need a package to suit your plans, feel free to get in touch and we can tailor make a package to suit.

dO YOU SHOOT LGBT WEDDINGS?

Absolutely - love is love, everyone is welcome.

do you shoot [Insert your religion here] weddings?

I’m more than happy to shoot any style of wedding no matter the religion or culture. In fact, documenting how different cultures celebrate marriage is a huge part of what excites me about my job. I’ve been lucky enough to cover a number in my time.

Questions about Photography

How long will it take for us to RECEIVE our photos?

I generally ask couples to allow between 8-12 weeks from their wedding date for their finished photos to be sent to them, though during an exceptionally busy wedding season, in rare cases this may take a bit longer. I understand that you're probably incredibly eager to see the final results so I'll always do my best to achieve a speedy turn around, however, in order to assure that every receive the highest quality finish I never rush my work so ultimately these things do take time.

How will our photos be sent to us?

Once I've finished editing your photos they will be uploaded to your own private online gallery that I will email you a direct link to. You can then take a look through and make sure that you are happy with them. If you would like any alterations made, let me know and I will be happy to make them for you.  If you're happy with them, I will then put all of your photos on to a USB stick within a bespoke presentation box that I'll post to your door so that you can treasure them for years to come!

We guarantee that your gallery will remain active for at least 6 months.

How will our online gallery stay live for?

Do you Photoshop/airbrush photos?

Generally speaking, I don't tend to do any extensive airbrushing of the skin as I feel that the results can look incredibly fake.  That said, I will remove any spots or breakouts upon request to ensure that you look your best in your photos.
